The Unity of Friends are getting ready for the 5th Annual Chili Dump, January 26, 2008. located at Harbor Lights Bar in Suamico. With the help of the community, the Unity of Friends raised $8000.00 in donations for Ribbon of Hope Foundation, helping local people battle breast cancer daily. They estimated over 2000 attendees visited the 4th Annual Chili Dump last year and over 100 gallons of chili was sold for the cause. They dished up their last hardy cup of delicious hot chili around 2:30pm. They also sold 250 hamburgers, 100 hot dogs, bake goods, coffee, and hot chocolate.

Again, Harbor Lights Bar will donated .50 for each Beer & Bloody Mary sold under the tent. It's always a fun filled day with many chances to win prizes by purchasing raffle tickets, bucket raffle tickets, 50/50’s and playing the paddle wheels. We can't forget about the kids...there's a Kid’s Tent with fun games and prizes. At noon, the main event featured Xtreme Mower Mayhem, high-powered studded lawn tractors having fun on the ice.

Last year Oneida Casino sponsored Vinny D. Valentine and the Royal Flush Players Live Band. Suamico kicked up their heels as the band performed an electrifying act of Jazz, Funk and R&B. There was an exciting Oneida Dance Contest with many prize give-aways...the Grand Prize was a night stay at the Radisson, 2 VIP Meal tickets and a gambling package donated by the Casino. "it's not official yet, but we plan on making this happen in again in 2008." ~ Carolyn
